Variety of Buffalo & WNY Hosts 4th Annual Lake Erie Rumble Demolition Derby with Over $7,000 in Total Prize Money at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds on 9/17/16 at 1 PM

LANCASTER, N.Y. — Variety – The Children’s Charity of Buffalo and WNY will host its 4th annual Lake Erie Rumble Demolition Derby at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds in Dunkirk, NY on September 17, 2016 at 1 pm. General admission tickets are available at the door or by calling Variety at 716.854.7577 and are $10 for adults, $5 for kids. Gates open at 10 am, and admission is open to all ages.

With over $7,000 awarded in prize money, over 200 cars are already registered for the derby, with drivers coming from as far away as Indiana. This year, the competition is sure to be as fierce as ever! Starting off with a Power Wheels Derby for the little ones, the contests will include 12-15 Year Old Youth Derby, Compact Demo, Chain & Go, Pickup Trucks, 80’s & Newer, and Modified Class. Chris Marquart, of Crash Course Derby podcast and Finger Lakes 1 TV, will be the derby’s announcer.

Dunkirk Mayor Rojas, as well as Variety’s Chautauqua County Satellite Celebrity Child, Morgan DeGoiler, will be present at the event. There will be plenty of food, including hot dogs, hamburgers and fried dough, along with beer and nonalcoholic beverages. Derby goers will also be able to purchase car raffle and 50/50 tickets for a chance to win big, all while supporting the special kids of WNY. The derby is going on Rain or Shine, so prepare for a mud-slingin’ good time!
