National Hero, David Bellavia will be joining us at the 2020 Variety Kids Telethon for a special tribute.  We are honored to have him speak live at the telethon this year.  David Bellavia is a former United States Army soldier who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during the Second Battle of Fallujah during Operation Iraqui Freedom. Bellavia has also received the Bronze Star Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals and the New York State Conspicuous Service Cross. In 2005, Bellavia was inducted into the New York Veterans’ Hall of Fame. He has subsequently been involved with politics in Western New York. On June 25, 2019 he was awarded the Medal of Honor, making him the sole living Medal of Honor recipient from the Iraq War. Mr. Bellavia is also a popular radio host on WBEN and wrote a book, House to House about his experiences in Fallujah in 2007. Bellavia currently resides in Western New York with his wife and three children.  Welcome to Telethon David!
